Natural stone
Stone names are variable, and stones themselves are variable. The properties will tell you so much more than the names. Working in the interior design field has its joys and its challenges. Staying informed about product includes both. I have had the opportunity to visit stone fabricators, tile factories, stone quarries, and many other types of manufacturers and distributors over the years.

In a category like appliances or furnishings, there are often products that are newer or better. When it comes to surfaces, I always seem to find myself coming back to natural stone. I find that I really enjoy looking at it! Each piece of stone seems to conjure up a story. There is a timeless quality that honed stone brings that really enhances almost any architectural style. Natural stone has the look and feel of luxury. The durability, as well as its ability to be sculpted into functional art, give it time-honored respect that is hard to come by in building materials.

we have suggested you used charcoal soapstone in kitchens for its easy maintenance and depth. Water jet manufactured tiles can weave intricate patterns and one of my favorite projects has some stunning large pattern tiles on the floor of a foyer. Large slabs of natural stone can create such drama for walls, floors, and countertop surfaces. Backlit onyx has a dreamy quality that I have used for walls and counters. Whether European, South American, Asian or domestic, natural stone has a distinctive look that can really make a project.

The current trend of organic modernism makes real stone a natural choice. The simplistic style combined with natural materials like stone, metal, and would give a space a calming vibe. “Natural Stone” refers to a number of products quarried from the earth, used over many thousands of years as building materials and decorative enhancements. These products include Granite, Marble, Limestone, Travertine, Slate, Quartzite, Sandstone, Adoquin, Onyx, and others.
Natural stone has been popular for use on floors for centuries and for very good reason. Stone tile brings the colors and texture of nature to our homes and adds quality and warmth to a room that’s not possible with any other material.

The term “natural stone” refers to a variety of mountain-born mineral substances that stand in contrast to any synthetic or manufactured stone products. Common natural stone flooring includes slate, marble, limestone, travertine, granite, and sandstone—each of which has slightly different properties.
Natural stone is a good choice for a bathroom, but only if you can afford it. There are few moisture problems with marble, granite, limestone, and the other stone flooring options. Natural stone is hard, durable, and aesthetically pleasing. Stone flooring returns an excellent resale value. Stone flooring can be cold and slippery. Coldness can be solved by installing radiant heating. The slip factor can be mitigated by having the stone textured with sandblasting or by purchasing naturally textured stone, such as slate.
